Perfect World laid off over 1,000 staff members, and now Perfect New World might not be coming.

While 1, 000+ employees were let go, it isn't 100% definitive fact that PNW is canceled. The devs themselves have NOT confirmed this publicly, nor have they DENIED it. Absolute silence is all that has been shown from thus far, and until otherwise stated, these are rumors based off of anonymous sources.

this is good news tbh, PNW needed so much more work, it was so clunky in the beta. it seems like they are focusing on World of Jade Dynasty

They don't seem to understand that many of us are eagerly waiting for the new game and that's where they could be investing their resources into. We want Perfect New World, and we want it to be worthy of our time and money. Of course they're going to be on the decline if they're still just focused on monetizing a 20 year old game.

I hope i Hope I HOPE that it's not being cancelled.
I used to play the absolute sh*t out of Perfect World, the combat was rather Meh, but i was still enjoying the HFIL out of it, it looked lovely, the music was nice, the visuals was great, the attacks looked flashy, the classes being Race locked was a really interesting touch (unlike WoW where it was Faction locked since multiple races could have some of the more unique classes)
I remember going back to it about 5 years ago, but i could not get through the Tutorial, they had mashed every race into the same island, and you were stuck there for like Hours! I reached around level 20 or something, AND I WAS STILL THERE!! So i just gave up on it, it saddened me to give up on it cause i wanted to re-explore the world i loved.
So if this continues, if this, Perfect World on Cr**k Does release...I'm jumping in, first chance i get.

Yes they want it to be too perfect and set as a game that is finished but releasing it as wuwa did or how zzz is being released and putting it out and taking a chance can make it easier to see a boost of money and blue protocol not releasing it worldwide was a bad mistake but I think japan is quite bad in wanting games to go global and it is like they have something against it

And this is why we should ignore every company that says they are making a new mmo. I mean why´s the fracking point when they can or won´t finish a game. Also if they gonna fire 1000 of people to save money then why the flying fuck are you even in the industry to begin with better to go in to an industry that will make you more money with 0 afford like maybe start a scam company or wait they already have they just call it video game company.
