Surely that has to be the worst position to mount the safe? Lots of room around to swing a hammer at it, get a pry bar behind it or other implement? It should be also fixed to the floor where possible and mounted in a low corner.

I think in the end don't put anything in the safe but make it a decoy. Put your stuff in the attic under the insulation. Who's going there to look for valuables?

Would it not be better to drill into brick than the mortar.

I don't have masonry in my house, would using hefty anchors and bolts into studs be a secure option?

i appreciate your video but here are some things that would be helpful; what size drill bit are you using? what do you mean by "sleeve"?

A safe is suppose to be completely hidden in a place undetectable to a thief that comes into a home, biggest mistake is to display a safe anywhere in a home that would automatically draw any thief to it once its been detected..

you didn't actually show me what I wanted to do... you were in the way all the time.

He says not to mount to wood, that's totally impractical advice if there isn't any brick around to mount to!

Did you really need to check for metal in that brick wall lol.

Wait is he drilling into mortar between bricks 😂def poor installation.
I’ve read if your safe walls even back rear of safe aren’t minimum 1/4 inch thick and door 1/2 inch minimum thick then it can’t really be classed as a safe it’s more a strong box for temporary securing things overnight than owt

them little things are not safes.
they are easy to break in even with a strong magnet or a tooth pick.
if you can pick it up a place it under your are then bont buy it.
get a safe that is a min of 190kg/418lb not even 3 people will move this away from the home
