That plasterboard now clearly looks bowed after that fixing went in.

Never a problem until you made it a problem and got sponsored by the company supplying the product 😂

Yeah but in your video the plasterboard has still been depressed 😂

If its dot n dabbed properly you dont get this issue.
When tightened you can clearly see its pulled the board closer to the brick, ffs

Wall fixing is a bleeding lottery! I generally find 6mm hole and red rawl plugs my go to. Or brown plugs for heavy stuff. Don't use an impact driver or overtighten either.

So you cut that tube you hammered in to the exact length of the thickness of the adhesive, plus the plasterboard and then do that for all the others to bridge the gap then screw your brackets in? I think I’ll just use long screws and stop screwing when the screws flush!

Corefix plugs are amazing. I got a pack but never used any yet as the fixings ice used so far have been fine and no issues at all.

These are excellent, used them myself on a vertical rad.. Fishcer also make longer plugs for lighter duty work which have dual material tech so they are also great for dot and dab with most other work and cheaper

I can see the pull from here... it was a lot less, but still did

They are good... but not so good when they catch the hollow on some blocks.. then I just revert to brown plugs 😂

Surely if there was gap you would feel it before but bolt through

I tried them several times and they didn’t work. I’m a plumber with 40 years experience and don’t know what I did wrong. Threw them away. Fischer make brilliant versions

Hold like you've fixed into dab. 🙂🧐

Used to usee high load plugs they were great as the piesce tightened onto the plug not the plasterboard

fisher makes 8x50 plugs that would do in this case just fine, and you get 50 for a fiver

Or just use a small piece of copper as a spacer

They are good but they're expensive.
