The new generation of Country musicians could easily be marked by impeccably crafted lyrics that stop you in your tracks. Waylon is on to that in a way that few else are, writing with familiarity even to the first time listener.

Waylon and his Dad drove up from Arkansas to meet up with us while we were out in Tulsa a few months back. We wound down backroads and eventually made our way to this parched creek bed on our buddy Bradley’s family land.

Waylon has all the natural instincts and talent of a Country / Folk singer, songwriter, acoustic guitarist. some of yall hating about him and others like him young country artists, yall gotta understand every music genre has changed and progressed it’s not just country. young guys like him isn’t gonna sound like willie, or cash or jennings. just because he and other new singers don’t sound like the country music from 20-40 yrs ago, don’t mean it’s not real country.
