I like to furnish houses but often get overwhelmed by building, so I sometimes use your builds as a shell or for inspiration. I'm doing this one now and I'm having loads of fun, it's so different from what I usually do!

You were channeling the "beige mom" look for this build. Also it's not unrealistic to have a newborn's nursery with more black & white in it. This is because infants typically only start perceiving colors around 2-4 months old, something I learned while I was pursuing my Associates degree in Childhood Development. Before then they can primarily only perceive objects displaying high contrast. This is why it is common to see infant toys with a lot of different patterns in black & white. So neutral nurseries with black& White patterns/accents is actually pretty realistic and as they grow & develop more colors can be added! 🙂

I remember the shrubs and bushes used to grow in the Sims 2! I used to love sending a sim out to take care of the yardwork while someone did chores inside

There’s a mod for lawn care (because there’s a mod for everything 😂) and it’s pretty fun…for about 30 minutes. I got frustrated with it so fast!

This is super realistic. So cute. The grandad and grandsons being best friends got me! I was so close with my Grandma, and now that we have puzzles and a stand up piano in game it feels perfect for elders

Completely forgot Amerika existed for a minute when she mentioned that family homes are usually beige or neutral [in Germany they're all usually fun colors like mint green, bright yellow, bold orange, etc.]

I remember in The OG the Sims when you used terrain tool to raise terrain, and possibly also lower it, can't remember, the grass in the area you'd changed would disappear and then when you went into live mode, it would slowly grow back

I love those windows and the door, i never even knew that door existed because i always build on low wall height 😭
I also really appreciate when creators mention what packs the items belong to sometimes because i dont own all the packs anymore as i had to switch to console and i tend to forget what i own and what i dont

This is one of my most favorite builds you’ve ever posted ❤ all of my homes are generation homes bc I’m a big legacy family player and love to have aunties and grandparents living with family.

I feel a calm sleeping room for little one is actually fairly common-sense :-) Yeah, some color and contrast is good, but if there’s a play room/other areas to stimulate that, then it’s good all around!
