A degree from West Point is a golden ticket and very highly valued in the corporate world. Once you decide to leave the Army you will never have a problem getting a good job

Thank you for an amazing job of sharing the benefits of personal writing! You are so right on every point. I did the same thing in college and it was the only thing that kept me sane. I learned that ink is a wonderful memory cement when it comes in contact with paper, and when life gets weird and you need to sort things out there's no greater (or less expensive) therapist in the world than a pen and blank page. I hope the whole world sees this video and takes your lessons to heart.

I had an Lt. westpointer who seemed to really hate working at s3, and the Army in general. Pretty sure he got out now, point is, we are got along, even though I’m enlisted, we both see how frustrating and dumb things get, and had a common ground in that...

Can you do a video basically showing (wow, well you aren't the only one who uses "basically" too much, huh) all the things you are issued at West Point, and what they are for?

Great video. Thank you. Served in USMCR for 8 years, first 2 alongside The Citadel students, graduates and professors. Good on you.

What a phenomenal waste of time making the cadets walk back and forth with a piece...I know tradition.

Very, very informative. Thank you, sir. Hardly my perspective, which makes it even more valuable. I've never learned as much from folks with the same perspective and environment that I have.

And West Point is about as different from my background as it can get.

I use an iPad with an Apple Pencil to write my notes, keep my schedule on track using the calendar, etc for college.

My uncle was a West Point grad. After graduation he became a Air Force SAC pilot of B47s. After the Air Force he was recruited by the CIA serving decades at a variety of postings.

This was helpful. I really appreciate your discussion on writing and the two types. I buy notebooks but never seem to use them. You gave me three useful ideas. Thanks! I also have enjoyed all the other videos I have seen of yours (maybe 10). I hope you keep at it well after graduation.

In Korea there are a few military academies but on the top we have 육사 YeukSa (YS), which is like Westpoint. Then there is 삼사 SamSa (SS) which is easier to get in, last ROTC (any affiliated college) The thing is as mandatory conscripts we have stereotypes about each school and most seem true.
1. YS graduates will be efficient in any approach to a mission while able to explain every detail with great knowledge, can't even argue with these guys cause Big brains.
2. SS graduates will achieve any goal by sheer will and muscle power, Enemy is raining down bullets? Run past em, Low on ammo? That's what the knife is for....those guys.
3. ROTC, just chill as fck. Treats you like that chill uncle that only comes by the holidays. Passes everything with the base minimum requirements and effort.

Justin, thought I’d say I received an appointment to USMA for the class of 2022. I’m also from Arkansas!
