Nayyera Haq sits down with criminal defense attorney Chance D. Lynch about a Black Texas man, Christopher Shaw, who was paralyzed from the waist down after an altercation with Beaumont police during an arrest last month.
Lynch, who represents Shaw, is trying to get body camera and surveillance footage from inside the jail.
“Sadly, there is no progress,” Lynch says. “He’s still paralyzed from the waist down. He’s not able to get up and move.”
