Cebu is my birth place it was not like this before but now it's modern new business development although it's kind of smaller compared to metro manila.

I love the way you vlog it's very admirable being roaming not just on classy BGC Makati and Ortigas center and mall of Asia but also in the rugged streets and ate street foods.

The beaches and the mountain sceneries, wildlife and nature makes Cebu much better than BGC. Eventually, Cebu's buildings and architecture will catch up.

It has all the trade marks of the Ayala Corp. Indeed! Specially the garden theme!

Hi Janus! Thank you for showing me another wonderful part of Cebu. Btw, do you plan to make short videos to increase the number of subscribers? Have a blessed Friday and see you in the next episode 😊

They really need to connect the 2 areas. Hopefully both areas will expand and eventually be one contiguous first world area.

Nah not yet. But inside a decade yes.
SRP specifically will outshine BGC, simply because of location + size. BGC is already full, whereas SRP area is just getting started.

Cebuano tastebuds are also different from Manila because Cebuanos prefer savory and spicy food rather than the Sweet and Sour tastebuds of Manila.

Laguna Cafe in Ayala Terraces. Authentic Filipino cuisine. Pricey but worthit. Lots of greenery. Starbucks is situated in a rare entrance/pathway. UCC (another coffee shop) is another favorite since Ayala Mall's opening back in the day (who doesn't love coffee and lattes 😅). I find the ones in Cebu a lot more quaint. BGC and Makati obviously are bigger areas in terms of square footage. A lot more shops and infrastructure. Either way -- it's way more fun in the Philippines 🇵🇭 -- 👊♥️👏👏👏

Towards the end, didn't expect that you'll be deciding to eat from the roadside, sir. Hands down! 🙌🏻

Btw, there's a dish called caldereta which traditionally uses goat, but beef is often used when goat meat is harder to find. It's basically beef or goat meat slowly stewed in a tomato based sauce, very tasty and slighty spicy. I think you'll like that dish.

12:35 I would agree with you, sir.

15:15 I saw on another video that strands of coconut leaves are woven into that shape, a portion of uncooked rice is poured in, then woven sealed. The packets are then placed in a pot, covered with water, boiled and simmered until the rice done. I am unsure how they know that the rice is done, I guess it takes a lot of experience.

My mom’s side of the family hails from the Western Visayas, so I’m partial to it :) I’m actually looking for a condo in Cebu to a winter home and a base for SE Asia travel. My dad owns one in Makati, but I want to a rebel and base myself in Cebu, lol.

There are lots of constructions in Cebu and Lapulapu but perhaps once it’s completed. What I like in Cebu is a laid back city, closer to the mountains and beaches.
