262 Sportsman Open the maiden voyage a new edition to our family

Jeff and I decided last year to start looking for a larger boat. We wanted a boat that could get out to sea. Living on the Atlantic coast there are so many fishing possibilities out to sea that our 22ft. boat could not safely go. So, after looking at many boats we decided on the 262 Sportsman Open. This boat checked all our many boxes. We ordered the boat, and the expected delivery date was August 2022. To our surprise, the boat was delivered on April 25, 2022. This is truly a blessing and will allow us some deep-sea fishing adventures this summer. Thank you to all the staff at Backwater 2 Bluewater in St. Augustine. Watching this video and seeing him smile makes me smile. Hopefully I can experience that joy soon. Just ordered my first boat 2024 261 heritage sportsman (Small hull). I would like to also get an update to see how things are going ? maybe do a 3 or 6 month review? If you ever want to fish the gulf. Im in tampa and full of knowledge in this area.

I looked at the Sportsman 262, 282 & 302 Open, initially decided on the 262, but after much consideration and comparison I decided on the 302. I saw HUR when I went into Backwater 2 Bluewater to update to the 302, HUR is a beautiful boat, and I hope that you all are enjoying your new family addition. I am several months out from my build date, and I am curious to know if there is something that you would have done different now that you have had HUR for a few months; ie, any additional accessories that you would have opted for...etc? You said that the cooler seat doesn’t work, does that mean the cooler seat isn’t well insulated and doesn’t keep ice? Have you had any other issues that you care to share? I too fish in the Mayport area, and hope to see you all on the water. Keep up the good work with your videos...enjoy!!!
