I can't believe they had the audacity to do this.

The highlight of this podcast: Bandrew has multiple breakdowns on camera *not edited*

Can you review the EVO SR1 Microphone that comes with the EVO Start Recording Bundle?

What's that mic arm you're using? I've seen it in a few of your videos, looks really interesting. Also, I could not agree more with "if you're not paying for it, you're the product!" Though in fairness, Audacity was open-source and non-commercial until they were bought out.

I like ribbon mics so much and this one sound great in this video, and it's not a lot of money. Thanks.

Apparently started watching it while it was unlisted with zero views, comments or thumbs.

Riiiigh then.

Listening to the podcast closely on my good headphones, the Royer microphone sounds kind of tinny and very phasey for lack of a better word. I'm going to assume that has more to do with the figure 8 pattern not jiving well with your space than the actual tone of the mic, because ribbons, even not very good ones like the MXL R144, are the last mics that come to my mind when I think tinny.

I downloaded Audacity but never used it so I just deleted it when I heard the news

I wonder how many people will try the arm/elbow thing? 😃

The Soyuz does make it sound a bit woolly - to my ears at least.

Brave of you to play a sound submission from a Vogon. Their poetry is sometimes used as a torture method...

Just don't upgrade to version 3. Or go offline before starting the program? There are already 2 forks available, Audacium and Tenacity. There's still Dark Audacity for windows only, or Ocenaudio

Good thing I use old versions of Audacity on computers not connected to the net.

You don't have to mark each video - you can mark your entire channel Not For Kids.

How can you purchase an open source product? Seems like the only thing they bought was the trademark. Personally I would just download and use Reaper. Harry Potter is good bruh!

is he focusing on the export, & not so much the import???

Contrary to the video title there is no information on what or if Audacity is spying on or who is collecting what in this half hour video. Clickbait?

RE crutch-words, for bimbonic millenials, editing them out cannot work. Imagine one of them attempting to edit out the word "like" on a podcast, something I've heard which caused me to "switch channels" immediately: *"Like, I, like, liked this band, but like, I like, couldn't get like tickets or whatever, so, like, I like had to deal with like a scalper or whatever, and like, it was like, a nightmare. Like, I was literally-like, dying inside."* Too much work to salvage one coherent sentence from all of that "spoken" effluent via editing.
[edit] the result would sound too "choppy".

You really should do more research before passing on false information. First, the new privacy policy is for a future version of Audacity, not the present one. Second, Audacity won't be collecting "all your data". Actually, no more than the majority of software already does.
