Overall I think the Brio is the better option for streamers if you can get it near the 160$ range since it goes on sale quite frequently. Let me know what one you guys preferred!

Thanks for a great review; it has been difficult for me choosing between the two! I’m not a streamer but a teleconferencing guy who enjoys tech; here are my main two reasons why the StreamCam works better for me and why I chose it over over the Brio.

The Brio is optically fixed at 90 degrees with an aspect ratio of 16:9 while the StreamCam is at 78 degrees with the same aspect ratio. If you desire a wide 90-degree field of view or 4K then the Brio is your only choice between the two.

I prefer the narrower, more traditional 78 degree FOV however and the BRIO it must crop it’s screen and modify the signal digitally to provide it. The StreamCam provides it natively, resulting in a fully optical 1080p stream.

While conferencing with telephone users, the portrait view is often more desirable than landscape due to the orientation of their screens. Portrait view on the Brio requires cropping and digital modification resulting in stream degradation whereas the ScreenCam provides portrait view natively resulting in a full optical 1080p stream.

Very good review! I've been using the streamcam as my only camera (and mic) to film all my videos and I think it's pretty good. I am starting to play with the settings a little more to see if I can get better clarity, but I must say I'm impressed with what it can do if I think its meant to be a webcam and not a proper camera.

I have the thing that my webcam loses frames as soon as it balances darkness out. It turns 30fps then. Any idea?

Great review, you deserve way more subscribers. I wish the streamcam at least came with an adapter. Logitech cant expect everyone to have a computer that has that port on it.

I’m on MacBook and I can’t seem to add the logi capture application as the source. I can only add the camera but then it has none of my settings

I needed a nice webcam to use on my pc for school and maybe content creation and I got the streamcam because at this point that I'm writing this comment It was the best overall value at least in where I live. C920 is 188 CAD and the streamcam is 190 CAD. So the streamcam is an easy choice. brio is around 250 CAD which is really too much and the improvement isn't really that significant. And I personally prefer the less field of view on the streamcam because my room isn't really pretty that I wanna show it off on camera lol.

So I just was gifted the StreamCam a few weeks ago and so far I love it. The only thing is, it doesnt look nearly as good as the one in your video.

Did you just use out of box settings? OR did you tweak some stuff in the logi software?
Maybe another software?

How do you recommend to get it as clear as yours? Mine seems to be a little grainy.

can anyone tell me, does either the Brio or streamcam save its setting in OBS or its software when its turned off> the c920 has to be reset every time you stop using it.; it loves default mode for some stupid reason.

How does yours not flicker? Lights on off, Led or not. My camera flickers all the time
