What is a Porsche Boxster like to own?

What is a Porsche Boxster really like to own? In this video, I drive my Porsche Boxster to Glencoe in the Scottish Highlands and I share personal insights about my ownership experiences of my two Porsche Boxsters.

I have owned 2 986S.The first was a used example, the second was the Anniversary 986 and then I had a 2.9 987. Great cars. Wish I still had one. Prices at the moment are still high

The 987.2 is the sweet spot in the Cayman / Boxster range, practically it has the same engine with the 981 but without the DFI but you get the beefier 2.9 litre with more torque that Improves drivability or the 2.7 engine of the 981 series, you also get the hydraulic steering which makes a huge difference on a twisty. You certainly made a good choice and an excellent sports car made for a limited time before the 981 series.

Great video Robert and yes go for more content. I have read your book regarding the Boxster and it is fantastic and well worth the purchase .... so hat's off to you.. I have a 2003 986 S and it's just ridiculously capable and the grip is phenomenal. I would imagine this goes for any generation. I would love to see you do a back to back water cooled Porsche feature comparing your thoughts to a 996 / 997 to a 986 / 987 .... would be very interesting.

Thanks Robert, I agree with you, Boxster’s really are easy to live with as a daily driver. They do seem to be very reliable so long as you stay on top of recommended servicing and I’m finding that there are jobs that can be done yourself in the garage to keep costs down.
