Interesting to note that as said before, the Mamluke was at one point a Cavalry Ranged-Melee Camel unit that was also a hidden archer and a boat. Talk about full spectrum warriors

I don't even play this game and still enjoy watching you. Keep it up!

I appreciate the fact that you made the Byzantines purple. The Byzantines are ALWAYS purple

Ah, once again excellent historical accuracy! The Gurjaras having camel scouts in Feudal age (unlike all other civs) is a reference to the fact that camels were originally invented by the Gunjaras during the 9th centruy. (Before that time, camels didn't exist).

I think it would be interesting to look at the breakeven point of some of these upgrades, to know how many camels you have to train before for example the Imperial Camel Rider upgrade is actually worth its cost.

One little factor in favor of Hindustani's camels is that they destroy buildings faster than any other camels in the game. I know, it's not their focus, but still good enough if you're using them as you'd use knights in for example, 2v2s.

I absolutely love camels, so it always makes me happy to see new camel civs and new bonuses for camels (:

I would consider Hindustani camel the #1 generalist and Gurjaras #1 anti cavalry specialist. Ofc you could argue anti cavalry is their main role anyways but still these 2 civs don't have knights so the camels have to do a lot

An interesting thought experiment - how many camels would you need to train for each civ, to the point where it's worth paying for their unique tech (or missing upgrade, in case of the Byzantines), instead of simply training more?

I think being able to amass some camel scouts in feudal is very underrated because then you can start raiding in early castle while your enemy is just starting to produce knights.

I just notice at 6:38 the imperial camel's idle animation switches the saddle texture for a short moment. ( Maybe that counts as a disadvantage because if you mass them your pc needs more resources.)

I hope Devs will consider buffing other camel as well. Tartar's silk armor giving +1/1 to camel line. +1 p armor for Turk's camel and +2 attk vs archer for Persian camel.

Probably one of the few YTers I would go back to see this kind of "simple" intro haha. I like how you are as much as ever the spirit of the law of this epic and ageless game.

Can you please make a similar video for gunpowder units?
They are very hard to compare because of their innaccuracy, but a math whiz like you might be able to find consistent numbers.

While gurjaras are the best at what camels are supposed to do, hindustanis are better overall as a unit, especially against archers and offensively in raiding, it can truly replace the knight while the gurjara camel without the last damage upgrade missing and no other bonuses can't.

I can attest to the gurjara pick, was playing yesterday and during team games when you’re in the pocket position, the fact that you can put vils on other tasks like chopping more wood/ placing farms while your sheep slowly trickle in food means that when you hit feudal age you’ll have 500-700 food! And that’s on going 24 vils into feudal + pushing in deer.

If you add two gold miners, you can basically go two stable scouts and throw in a couple camels very comfortable. So far from how I’ve played, the gurjaras are THY best feudal stable power

Gurjaras camels are good against mounted units. But they have only 9DMG, so not good at Infantry, Archers, and so on.
But Hindustanis camels have good attack and HP. I think Hindustanis are best all-rounder camel.
