I know Target sold items for more than shown on the shelf a few years ago. They were usually 5¢ -10¢ higher at the register. Add that up to the number of customers across the country who bought the same item without questioningly it = hundreds of thousands of dollars. The red shirts didn't believe me. I had to walk and show the person. It got to the point that wherever I shop, I start taking pictures of shelf tags of items I buy. Now, I rarely shop there.
