16+ Embers - Fire Turret Sorceress - Path of Exile 2 (Early Access, day 7)

The max embers you can accumulate with Ember Fusillade is 10, or 8 at level ~45, so how is this sorceress loading 16 embers at once?

This is meant as a tease, something you might have fun figuring out, so what comes next is a spoiler. :)

Ember Fusillade (staff):
Scattershot, Fire Exposure, Strip Away

Ember Fusillade (spell):
Unleash, Arcane Tempo, Fast Forward

Spark:
Pierce, Conduction, Persistence or Acceleration

The trick here is the Dusk Vigil unique Ashen Staff, which triggers Ember Fusilade whenever you cast a spell, so you cast Ember Fusilade itself and it casts twice. The placement of Scattershot/Unleash is important, and Arcane Tempo on the spell means the triggered spell is equally fast. I like Fast Foward so it releases faster, but you can replace either with Wildshards, etc.

If you don't have the staff you can still play similar, and it's actually easier, you just use Scattershot, Unleast, Wildshards. You then cast Embers, Spark and Flame Wall in succession, so they all go through the Flame Wall for extra damage. You'll need sufficient Cast Speed though, otherwise skip Spark.

Using both the gem *and* the staff is quite clever indeed.

I’ve been trying to make this staff work (I want my Gilgamesh build godsdammit), but I never even considered using a duplicate.

Would you say this build is actually any good? Or is it more a meme?
