The book was a great read and gives an inside look at the chaotic, toxic White House that is, quite literally, being run by a slew of out-of-touch, ignorant sycophants all back-stabbing and vying for the approval of an inept man-child of a leader. Not much work being done for the country or with its people in mind - just the whole lot running around concentrating on self-preservation and growing their personal brand and/or wealth. The ones who do care or are trying are either side-lined, removed, or constantly ridiculed. In summary, it's as bad as you feared it was.

If we are to believe 80% of what he said is true, our reaction should be more like Trevor’s and less like his audience. That is some grim shit. It’s one thing for a rando to call the president an idiot, another for media people to be discussing it publicly in a partisan way, and ANOTHER for someone to outline that he is in fact mentally incapable of holding the power he holds.
