Such insanely high quality content. If YouTube’s algorithm doesn’t push videos like this into user’s recommended sections the YouTube algorithm is trash.

Since some seem to have missed it. At 11:58
I make clear that I do *NOT* recommend to just use the maximum DPI value!

The ideal DPI value depends on many factors like build quality of your mouse, quality of the sensor, firmware, etc.
By simply choosing the maximum DPI value you _might_ make matters worse _if_ your mouse cannot handle that without issues _(jitter, increased delay, etc.)_ .
The point I made there was that very *low* DPI values should be avoided - but don't just go to the other extreme. 😅

Also there will be a followup video where I plan to test more DPI values as well as wired vs. wireless. Not sure about the format of that video or video(s) depending on how many mice I will test.

The most impressive is how you could show detailed tests conditions and conclusions. All perfectly explained in less than 15 mins. Absolute jewel.

its insane how much effort you put in your videos great job man

Interesting to know about the fact that low DPI can cause higher latency

as someone who used to play csgo on very low spec laptop, i used to run 250hz on my mouse because it lessens the load on the processor. The processor was so average that when i move the mouse on cs at 1000hz i lost ~10-20 frames (from around 90 to 70-80). By setting it to 250hz, i'm able to maintain 60fps on competitive matches, and no longer lose frames when moving my mouse.

I now use a much better pc, but i probably still wont use 8000hz polling rate even when it's a standard. Just to save on processor power. Also this is an very awesome video, great tests and results!

OBSCENELY high quality deep dive into a very important topic!
I love this channel so much.
Thank you for all of the great work you do, Chris!

Insane testing, especially if you can automate it. I think you should run a website providing this information for as many mice as possible, I think you would be the only source for this information then.

As an EE, I can appreciate the incredible amount of time/energy put into this.

You don't put 300+ hours into a single video unless you have a true passion.

I love having the "sharpshooter" button set to an extremely high DPI. It allows for fun things like rapidly spinning or ease of use with controlling certain aspects of games that force your mouse movement slower, like tank turret rotation or helicopters.

Well, time to move from 800 to 1600 DPI I guess :D
Thanks for this detailed video, great work!

If that video leads to most pros changing their dpi, it would be pretty insane. Loving the quality content. Keep it up
