At the 2024 Hamptons International Film Festival, Demi Moore provided a health update on her ex-husband Bruce Willis, who is battling aphasia and frontotemporal dementia (FTD). The actress, honored with the Career Achievement in Acting Award, described his condition as “stable.”

During a discussion moderated by Alina Cho, Moore said, “The disease is what it is, and you have to deeply accept that.” Despite his illness, Moore emphasized that Willis is stable.

Moore recently visited Willis with their first grandchild, Louetta, daughter of Rumer Willis. She approaches these moments with the mindset of making the most of their time together. “We share what we have for as long as we have it,” she said.

The actress also stressed the importance of staying present and not focusing on the past. “Meeting them where they’re at is key. Holding on to what was is a losing game,” Moore explained.

Moore and Willis, who were married for 13 years, share three daughters: Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 30. Although they separated in 1998 and finalized their divorce in 2000, they have remained close co-parents. Willis remarried in 2009, and with his second wife, Emma Heming, he has two daughters, Mabel, 12, and Evelyn, 10.
