BYD price increase means big trouble - overhead out of control. Tesla decrease means productions costs like Mega press is driving prices down while improving quality. Win win for TSLA. BYD future looks darker.

I love BYD, they are a business that has stood the test of time, and has the entire supply chain all located in china, I think it is going to do wonders in the long run, short term losses are very usual and doesn't prove anything, so what they dropped prices, or increased a bit, the world is in recession and people are unemployed and surffer from long covid, we are all in pain right now, also you have to consider the system of china, they are eager to export cars like all developed countries, and their government spare no effort to help them, they want to make BYD into a national champion like toyoto to japan and BMW to germany, so they are not going to do anything stupid like they did to alibaba

takeaways: 1) BYD is doing better than I thought competing against Tesla in China and some preliminary research validates this idea. 1) This video above indicates I know more about tesla than charlie munger (which is a large surprise), because he appears unaware of the different lines of business Tesla is poised to move into big time, is not calculating value of factories planned and coming online, is not considering impact and difficulty of selling internationally. 2) charlie munger is willing to buy byd at 50x earnings which is more expensive than tesla is now. 3) charlie munger is very very old.
