I lost a dear sweet friend in college following a car accident. At her funeral the priest used these lyrics in his sermon to talk about her as she is "Forever Young", and she was very kind and giving, so this is what she wished for us all. I played this song at my wife’s funeral. She passed away in March 2012 at 45 from cancer. She loved Rod Stewart and we saw him live in concert about a year before she died. It would be our last “date” ever. She was in a great deal of pain and had a feeding tube but I could tell that she really enjoyed Rod’s (and Stevie Nick’s) performance. I love you Lorraine and miss you more every single day. Your legacy lives on in the four wonderful children you brought into this world. You will truly be forever young in my heart.
