Lumix G9 High Res Mode good for lowlight? Tested at night with long exposure shots!

-Okay maybe it's too quick to say other people tested it wrong, there are 2 modes for high res besides resolution options, mode 2 allows you to eliminate the blur caused by moving objects in the frame, this mode tends to cause softer images according to some tests. I was too eager to praise the G9 and threw some imaginary youtubers under the bus haha.
-Will upscale AI software do the same job? Well i tested it in Topaz gigapixel, which is a software that i'm very impressed with, I put the 20mp standard file in it, upscale 2 times (2x2=4 times more megapixel) to get 80mp file, the sharpness is improved, however the detail is definitely not at the same level, it can NOT magically manifest details that wasn't captured in the original image which could be captured by a 8-image-stich in camera, done in camera is definitely much more preferable to upscaling in post!
-Interesting to see that the natural profile JPEG straight out of camera looks so good, the raw exported without editing has such ugly colors :(
-also the high res pictures gain more dynamic range compared to standard pictures!

-off topic: I'm surprised that my studio version davinci resolve handled those 80mp and 40mp photos really well, back when I was using the free version on a worse computer the software would not process the video properly and usually glitches out the final footage.

this is pretty cool and opens up a lot of opportunities to edit pictures in post. You can do a thing where you could even use a smartphone to get a super high res image by just taking 20 shots from slightly different positions and have an app combine them. This kind of reminds me of that, except the G9 is able to do these shots much faster.

But how long was the exposure?
You cannot set the exposure when you do high res

In mode 2 (afterimage motion blur is minimized) you can get good handheld shot, however compare it to standard shot the improvement is marginal, probably not worth the 80mp size, tripod is the way!

Great shots. What were the shutter speed on these shots? How slow can the shutter speed be for HighRes tripod shots?
