A new luggage free adventure just started, and here is how I pack, and what I'll take with me on my solo trip through Europe to Africa by train and ferry.
And like this, I hope to have a fun, minimalist, and lightweight adventure :)

The link to the bag is in the description, but for some people somehow it doesn't show up. So if you are one of them, and still want to check them out here it is again!

Funny story time: Ten years ago my family had planned a trip to Turkey. My siblings and I were in charge of packing our own stuff. My brother who was 13 at that time and preoccupied with other things that one could do during summer vacations such as meeting friends or playing games, thought it would be a good idea to literally pack nothing (not even underwear or socks). It took me a while to realise that he was literally wearing the same thing everyday. My parents were kind of mad because now they had to at least get him a new pair of socks, a t-shirt maybe and definitely some socks. However, he was able to manage the vacation that way and in comparison to me who had huge bulky luggage (never again!) he just had his shoulder bag and layered outfit. So, travelling lightly does definitely work. I am curious to see how your trip to Morroco will be like. Wishing you lots of fun!

I'm eager to see a video from you AFTER you return from Morocco ...I want to know how well (or not) it worked for you. Also, I'm curious what you might purchase. And how you enjoyed Morocco.

It's so funny, I kinda did a similar thing in Morocco, but it wasn't planned... I just landed there without my suitcase. So I spent 10 days there traveling around without anything. Luckily I had a good friend with me who borrowed me some underwear and a t-shirt, and I bought some toiletries, and that was all I needed. Sometimes during the trip I was thinking about my lost suitcase and was trying to remember what was inside it and why I thought it was important to bring all that stuff 😂🤔

I like the idea of ultra minimal packing. I always overpack, bit I also always do laundry every single day because I can’t stand having dirty laundry while traveling. I end up wearing the same 2-3 outfits all the time anyway so I really don’t need much more than that. Most of what I pack are just in case-items that end up weighing me down.

Aaah, I love onebag content! I've been really into travelling without checked bags myself. It's so freeing! I'm definitely moving more and more towards that way of travel and away from any sort of rolling luggages, even if they'd technically be carry-ons. The pack you got there is super cute! I'm not too big on rolltops myself, I prefer clamshell opening bags, but this will work really well for what you want to use it for and it shows that you really thought about it thoroughly.

Great video! That's really very few things, wow!

Personally, I never travel without those 2 things:
1 of those very small square towels or a "Stoffwindel" in case there is no towel, and 1 light scarf (großes Halstuch), that can serve as sun protection, light cover, wrap and knot skirt or shirt for sleeping (if I need my sleeping shirt or leggins at day), and in case I feel cold, it is good to have something to wrap around my neck, that makes a huge difference for the whole body for me. Last but not least it can be knotted into a spare bag like the Japanese custom of using furoshiki, (which I'm sure you won't need 😅🤩 )

I’d recommend you add some type of lip salve to your hygiene bag. They’re quite small and can prevent your lips from cracking and bleeding in cold/dry climates.

I’m admittedly envious of anyone who can do this. I have to carry more in my day to day backpack than you have for this entire trip and packing if I go away is a nightmare. Mines is due to necessity as I have multiple chronic illness which requires braces, medication, medical devices ect for me to survive on a daily basis let alone anything else. I’d truly love to be able to do this though.

I just packed for two weeks in New Zealand in a 28 L backpack and I thought I was packing minimally haha! Very fun experiment to pack so little, would love a follow up video. Happy travels!

You made my day about the sim card opener. I brought that with me 10 years ago when I went to the US because I wanted a US sim card, such as you do. But at the sim card shop they just used a regular paper clip and my super opener wasnt needed. :D The fact that it got to your super minimal bag makes me want to brag to my husband who made fun of me until this day about it :D.
Nowadays with the e-sim cards its probably really useless though :)
Great video! Opened my eyes as to how lightly one can pack. Enjoy your trip!🎉

I love these videos. I find I need more things (predominantly for medical reasons), but you are definitely helping me work out what I do and don’t need.

Great! It's a lot like what I bring when I go hiking but minus all the camping gear. I usually bring an extra layer of clothes because I tend to get cold or hot during long travels, so a pair of leggings to go under my pants and an extra thin wool sweater as a medium layer, as well as a scarf. Also for me I've found I prefer two pairs of underwear for peace of mind, as sometimes I don't manage to get my underwear washed (or dried) in time. Really looking forward to seeing your review video when you get back of what did and didn't work!

Oh my gosh...can't wait to see your traveling outfit try on and would have liked to see how the bag looked in back pack form. 😊👍 Safe Travels. I kinda think the only thing missing is some kind of sandles.

Wonderful video! Although I do not overpack, I know sometimes I take things I never wear/use during my travels. You have inspired me to be even more intentional with the items I am bringing where I travel. I do not believe I could be as minimalist as you are, I can cut my “stuff” in half next time I travel!
Wishing you a great trip to Morocco! Safe travels… looking forward to see the next video.

Oh wow I checked weather in Morocco it’s super warm even at night. I would’ve only used some lightweight washable knit flats (no socks required ), a pashmina scarf for coverage or to protect from sun, a couple midi length dresses and skirts to wear with tank tops and a lightweight cardigan and maybe an extra pair of leggings to wear underneath the dresses if it’s for extra coverage. plus lots of seamless pairs of underwear (they are super lightweight) and one nude or pink bra on me so it won’t be visible. sunglasses on my head because that’s what I like and I won’t bring any soap because soap is universal I would only bring a small toothbrush with hairbrush, toothpaste small deodorant contact lense case and glasses. Lotion is also universal so I’m assuming I’ll be able to use that there. Also foundation and tiny shadow palette I can use for all of my makeup. No sunscreen because I can likely buy it there/ don’t use often anyway my foundation has sunscreen in it. I like the mini hand sanitizer and wipes idea though would bring those as well. Phone charger cable and phone too and that’s basically it.
