Like they needed 'roid guy there. Nobody in construction or remodeling is built like a professional body builder. He's as fake as the other guy

Just watched this clip, how clueless that contractor was. Adam is right, how has that gotten by in the trade? How many 1/8ths in 1in is basic elementary school math(5th grade decimals and fractions).
A contractor needs to know what blueprints are and know math. A strong foundation in Mathematics is critical in the contracting trade in addition, contracting is jack of all trades. You need to have a strong foundation in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, landscaping, etc.

The answers are as the posters mentioned.
1. There are 8 1/8ths in one inch.
2. No. 8 rebar is 1 in, no 4. Rebar is 1/2 in

If I was there I would ask that contractor how many 1/32nds in one inch or 64ths in 1 inch.

The answers are 8 8ths to an inch. Followed by 1/2" coated rebar to prevent degradation through oxidizing as concrete is known to absorb moister. Said rebar will be placed 2' or 3' on center, per request of engineers and blueprint. Now may I please bid this job? Lol!

I know these guys are bad for buisness and it sucks that these hacks are out there but this show is bad for buisness too. Do a show on to catch a homeowner that doesn't want to pay when job is done. To help contractors get paid so they don't have to chase down there money at end of a job.

You know it's bad when I a lowly stoner can answer the questions, and the 'contractor' cannot.

So you got … 1, 2, 3 … carry the one …

I can see why he’s confused though. Cuz gauge is backwards. The smaller the gauge number the bigger the gauge. So if your talking about 8 vs 4 rebar, is it 2” or .5”

I dunno. For those who think this fake, my ex-wife, with an Associates Degree, asked me, "What are those lines between the inches for?" Yes, she is blonde.
