Norma Tenega is Colin Robinson’s favourite artist.

Love to see Big Country getting some love. Severely underrated band that had many great albums and a WICKED bass player

I will forever be greatful to Zane Lowe because after working a crappy job and driving home late in the evening, pouring with rain and traffic barely moving, I was listening to Zane's Radio 1 show and he played Retreat! Retreat! by 65daysofstatic.

That was the day I became a massive fan of theirs and I have been ever since. I was in the right place, at the right time, tuned into the right station, listening to the right DJ.

Loving the mention of BIG COUNTRY! One of the most underrated British bands of the last 40 odd years. Hopefully will continue to get the recognition and respect they deserve. They had a big effect on a lot of people

I heard this Norma Tanega in a TV show,
i Think it was, ,What We Do in the Shadows.'' and fell for it to.

Blind Melon were a great band, I didn't really explore them at the time that No Rain was massive and the fact that it was so popular put me off, but have explored them lots in recent years. I love their cover of Steppenwolf's The Pusher.

Great selection from a fellow NZer . When a guy opens with Quicksand and then throws in some Blind Melon AND Big Country you know it’s gonna be a good episode. Thanks Zane and thanks Amoeba

100% right about that 70s sweet spot. I personally look at 74. Any band on Spotify now, I just go, "what were they doing in 74." Found a million killer deep tracks that way.

That Quicksand record is dope, surprising pick! Saw them with Clutch and Helmet last year. Sick show. That Camp Lo is hot too!

Two of the great concerts of my youth were Quicksand at The Academy in NYC (with Into Another & Orange 9mm) in ‘94 and Camp Lo opening up for Jeru the Damaja in NYC ‘96. Glad I tuned in to see this

So amazing to see Big Country getting a shout out. Stuart Adamson is my ultimate guitar hero.
