SDP, although fundamentally different in what they do, they are just as big a crowd-pleaser as Nightwish are.
I absolutely adore what they did here, because it is 180 degrees away from the original, yet you can immidiately recognize the typical features of the song.
And the creativity in translating the song to German is mighty impressive, the lyrics are stunning.
I really enjoyed this.

It's not about creating a perfect cover, but about making music together, having fun and thinking outside the box musically. You have to see this version as a tribute to the message of the original song. SDP do well in both maintaining their own style and picking up Amaranth in a recognisable way. I also think you can see in the show that Floor is having a lot of fun with the other singers and that's the main thing at this point (in my opinion). Anyway, we know that there is no second Floor 🙂

Never in my wildest dreams I would have imagined this collaboration.
But honestly? Best f***ing collaboration I ever heard.
It's still very well recognizable as one of my favorite Nightwish songs, but at the same time it sounds as if it was always meant to be sung by Dag & Vincent...
This is going on my playlist, and probably it's staying on repeat for a looong time.
If you and the guys ever find the time - I wouldn't mind more of these little gems. <3

It's crazy to me the talent of these people...singing beautifully in multiple languages & entertaining millions. While most of us toil away in a passion less existence.
