Yes, choice, however when it concerns to their wants and demands, PH will be put under pressure and sanctions like shortening the help, if they don't obey, like stopping the helicopter deal, cutting off aids etc,

EDCA signed by the President is binding that Philippines and US has moral and legal obligation to support each other militarily in case of foreign attacks or invasion. If indeed we don't need US then why entered a mutual defense treaty.

The Philippine government should be wary of the Americans. They must not tie security issues and bind us to American business. Our telecommunication and digitalization of our bureacracy must be executed based on cost competitiveness. China will give the Philippines a very compelling offer based on price and speed. The government's program will be up and running in almost no time at all with Chinese technology. If the Americans would wish to match the Chinese in cost, speed and quality then the Philippine government might reconsider.
