I am a Japanese journalist who happened to come across with your very interesting presentation. I found much similarity between the concept of Akua in traditional Hawaii society and that of Kami in pre-Buddhist Japan. Do you know any comparative studies of traditonal religions. How much of these traditonal concept persist in the psyche of Hawaiians in current time.
