Grounded Will Sadly Not Get a Sequel

I think Grounded would be one of the few games that would be a good candidate for a sequel for these reasons:
1) Grounded development was stunted because of console hardware limitations, this isn't true for like any other game and it would give the devs on Grounded 2 so much more room to add good features to the game, and add more polish.
2) Grounded still has more content potential. Besides the storyline, there are so many more opportunities to add in terms of content to the game. There are SO MANY species of critters they could add to encounter, and there are also environments they never got to add in Grounded like a cold, indoor, or a deeper underground section besides the undershed.
3) Grounded still has more potential in terms of its combat variation, as most attacks involve parrying only. But this could be expanded into attacks that show a weak point or attacks in which you have to move out of the way instead of parrying.

This is a whole lot more reasons than any other game has to justify a sequel.

If grounded made a sequel, I would 100% buy it. The gaming market is flooded with overrated AAA titles, and I believe that grounded did just what they needed to do to get their name out there.

One thing I have to say is: "IT'S NOT ALWAYS ABOUT THE MONEY SPIDERMAN"

In other words it's COMPLETELY possible that Obsidian Entertainment will make a sequel regardless of whether it makes them alot of money

I don’t have much hope either since Xbox is closing studios right now. I supported the game by buying it on Xbox and on my PS5. I even bought it for my siblings. Maybe if the devs start their own company and make a re-imagination of the game. That would be cool too.

Feel like they’re missing a trick.! They should just bring out grounded 2 but not on game pass… it clearly has a massive following and they could almost guarantee that they would sell around 10-15 million copies.! Especially if it hit around 20 million players before it came out on PlayStation… 🤔 🤷🏿‍♂️

Grounded sold 2.2 million copies on PC alone and $56.2 million dollars. G2 is a real possibility

I disagree with points in this video and think that it's misguided in saying that microsoft wants to have developers not put things on game pass. Without diving into the details of the deals that gamepass gives developers and just sharing anecdotal evidence about Mircosoft shifting course I just don't feel like this video is hard evidence that they are going away from gamepass or really says too much believable stuff. Thanks though gave me things to think about.

I hope Avowed is good it’s my second most anticipated game this year after Jurassic park survival, am definitely gonna buy it unless it has a horrible launch/reviews. Also did outer worlds sell well?

Unfortunately, with subscription models the product becomes mass produced content instead of handcrafted products. This has been the case with Netflix, Disney Plus and of course GamePass.

problem is even indies are having trouble securing funding now days and many small studios have closed and we never hear about it. things are going to get a lot worse across the industry i think.

There will 100% be a sequel, dont listen to this guy. I have insider information. Don't waste your time on this video. It made a shit load of money with a small team. They are hard at work on the sequel. Probably 2026 early access on PC
