I got mine today, im very excited. As the 2012 blu ray was one of my favourite blu ray discs.i noticed recentltly it was looking bit dated.i assume this 4k is an improvement on the original blu ray, would you agree?

We in europ have a much more.. a blu ray, posters, art cards in the one set. So the real fans must import that version ;-)

So you think this is a notable improvement over the previous Paramount Presents Blu Ray? I didn't bother getting that one since it seemed like the earlier Blu Ray looked better.

Great review as always Adam. I got mine and watched it on Tuesday. As you said there’s parts that show their age but overall it’s a thing of beauty! Can’t wait to see North by North West.

Wondering if there will eventually be a 4K box set updating the Blu 15-movie collection, AND if Thief, Dial M and Strangers on a Train would be added to make it as inclusive as possible of Hitch’s output.

Only one shot has been grain-managed. Any grain issues are down to encoding. They are aware of the cut in the opticals, and this causes them some pain as they are second generation, and they would love to fix it, but they could not get hold of the original elements of the opticals. I am sure if they ever find them that will be fixed.

I have this on preorder should arrive soon. I'm very disappointed it only has 5.1 DTS 😮 and not original sound. That is BS !!! Centre Channel Sux !!! and Old films like this don't need 5 1. I actually prefer Stereo since it opens up the Sound Stage phantom 3d Image ....im pissed paramount slacked out on the sound 😤...SONY is the only studio u can trust with 4k remastering. SONY ARE THE TRUE MASTERS AND MUCH MORE PROFESSIONAL.

Is this the 4k release from a couple of years ago? If it is, this is notoriously terrible and the Blu-ray from about 2012 is much better.
