Some random directors notes for people v. candace: 0:29 and 0:35 gave me more experience in compositing, 1:39 is a star trek meme, and the table flip was one of the first things i thought of for that animation.

notes for people v. layla: i started this one dec 14 and it took about 2 weeks to make. the barrel roll reference was one of my fave moments to make. the tear-wipe with twirly whirly was inspired by this one gif of someone wiping their tears with a cat, also it was one of the first ideas i had and one of the biggest motivators for making that animation. nilou's mostly hidden under the table at 3:01 and 3:06 bc originally, i forgot to include her in the shot, but i was also too tired to animate her whole upper body so i just shoved most of her under the table xD those were some of the last shots i worked on.

speaking of which, nilou digletting through the table a second time was not planned 💀originally layla was gonna yell without pushing nilou under the table, but i didnt like how fast i had to cut the camera from layla+nilou to candace, back to nilou, and then to beidou. so i thought "Is there a way I can move nilou to candace and beidou so i can get them in one shot without changing the camera?" then i remembered what i did in the last vid 😂if i had a nickel for every time nilou broke a table, i'd have 2 which isn't a lot, but it's weird it happened twice.
