Naz, thanks for sharing. I definitely started collecting after my mom lost her battle with ALS. Like you mentioned, it was a good escape and chance to meet some cool new folks. Stay strong and make sure to keep those items that trigger those happy moments.

I am 50, and I went through the same thing. I was really I to x men figures I liked the metal ones and some spawn characters with all the detail they had on them. All those thing ended up being stacked up in totes, and didn't bring me joy anymore, and just added more chaos to my life. What I did, was I took everything that I collected, just to collect, down to toys for tots, and it was the best feeling knowing that things that brought me joy in finding, would bring joy to a needy child for Christmas. I think I collected because when I was young I never got any toys, so i felt i was trying to relive a childhood i never had. I ended up backpacking Asia and seeing people with literally nothing. And some of them are the most happiest people, their joy comes from appreciating life, because it is so short. Sorry such a long story, but the point being, keep what truly gives you joy and live for the experiences and not the item. All the best, I appreciate the openness in your channel

Naz I totally understand that feeling to purge !! I have done it a few times myself and it feels great Everytime I do it. My collection is much smaller and waayy more manageable to enjoy. Stay strong man and keep the videos coming!!

Collecting is supposed to be fun. When it stops being fun you have to re-prioritize how you collect. I know how you feel and am in a similar place. I'm going to be changing my own collecting habits to make it fun again and not an obligation.

Toy collecting is an NEVER ENDING hobby seems like every couple of months something new comes out. Last couple of months I've been having to cut back on hoarding toys especially when I have Nowhere to put them and I'm Saving up for a new home 🏡 MY WIFE ALSO DOESN'T LIKE ME HOARDING TOYS 😓. Hey Naz, I feel all collectors have these thoughts and feelings about their collecting/collection. I myself am trying to find focus with my Hotwheels/MBX collection. I plan to keep/hunt only items that have meaning. I understand that I don't have to have every Hotwheels that is made. Collecting is supposed to bring joy! Great video as always, I can appreciate a lot of what you said. I am about to turn 30 and I am married with a 1 year old son, so I have been thinking about the future a lot. I have stopped buying stuff other than necessities in the past year or so. I have been heavily downsizing my collections lately by selling on Ebay. Looking forward to future videos as always!
