I think every conressman who pulled NASA's budget and every person who thinks we spend "too much" on manned spaceflight, should have every technology either created by, or improved by NASA taken away from them for a month. Maybe then they will appreciate the program more...

Shuttle was a fantastic engineering platform from which we learned a great deal and that allowed us to built Station. Great job, NASA! Now let us focus our sights BEYOND LEO!

@indydude454 nobody killed it, they decided to end it after the Columbia disaster because it served its purpose of building the space station. the only fault was having nothing to replace it.
