The Metropolitan police commissioner, Mark Rowley, told a policing committee that revealing 'painful truths' about the force would take time after revelations of crimes by Met officers.

'We have to prepare for more painful stories as we confront the issues that we face,' Rowley told the London Assembly's police and crime committee. Rowley appealed for public patience and support as he begins addressing 'systemic failings' in tackling crime in the force.

Trust is lost. Imagine women calling the police for help but got attacked instead. Fcked up

The big question remains, after sorting out his own backyard will he move on to Westminster and sort out the rotten eggs there too? Back in 2014 - 243 MP's had criminal convictions of varying types and some even served Prison sentences out of the 650 MP's? How can society allow the law breakers be allowed to make laws? The government should be pressured into passing law that no person will be allowed to stand for Parliament let alone enter as an MP if he has a criminal conviction. During his tenure if he falls foul and convicted he is immediately removed altogether. If you look at the statistics of the Met Police many officers who had criminal records were allowed to join.

More resources = more of your tax pounds. By the way you can be reassured it won’t be rapid.
