Bud, it also has a feature where it deactivates the unlock sensors immediately after locking the vehicle. If this isn’t obvious as to why this feature was included, it’s so for the people that like physically making sure the car is locked; the car won’t unlock during this trial. It last for like 2 or less seconds immediately after locking.

What would really help us is an explanation as to why one cannot lock these cars without the presence of the fob. This also brings into question why there's even a lock button on the inside of the car to begin with. I have a 2023 Mazda CX-5 along with my Audi S4 and with the CX-5 my fob can be in the house and I walk out to the car press the lock button on the door and guess what, the car locks

We were looking at some Audis and realized you can’t just manually lock the vehicle even with the fob present from inside the car for example you open the door and on your way out click the lock button on the door. Also, there is no slot for the key to unlock the door so if the fob battery is dead and you have no access to a fresh battery you just can’t get into the car? This is asinine!
