What I enjoy most about these videos is that Ken still loves all these bikes we grew up learning to ride on! Most of my friends graduated to street riding and gave up off road riding. I never stopped riding dirtbikes as I found it to be more fun than playing in traffic! My street bikes came and went but I always kept my dirtbikes!
Another sweet find massaged to perfection by the team at Kaplan cycle! Thanks for the flashback!

My first bike too. Hours and hours in the fields and make shift MX track across the road. Got a YZ125 after I sadly killed it with no oil. Didn't ride again for nearly 30 years when I got an XR250 for a couple of years in my early 50's. Now 61, close to retirement and about to get back into motorcycling. Looking more 50/50 riding with less serious off-road than my early years now that I don't recover like I did. Mostly looking at the DR650 for simplicity, reliability, and all around everything. Modern bikes with EFI and computers scare me...just more things to go wrong that I can't fix.

The 1975 Honda XL100 is the first bike I ever got when I was 15yrs old. In Texas, you can get a motorcycle license at age 15, as long as the bike is under 125cc's. I rode that bike everywhere! Since then, I've probably owned 30 or so other bikes, but will never forgot that sweet XL100! Mine looked just line the one in this video.

I pulled one from my grandma's garage recently, only has like 650 miles on it, looking forward to getting it to formerly glory, still has gas in it from 79. Belonged to my aunt, she didn't ride much.

My cousin had one in 1978 he traded in a 1971 SL 70 in on it his was this clean also and someone put a custom seat on it with leather buttons extra smooth ride he only had it a couple months and traded it in on a brand new 1978 XL125.

Had one of these little rides. It was all original, but the paint was a little more sparkle to to it. It was super reliable, but not the fastest, to speed about 50mph. But I drove it all over Orange County, CA.
