That's a beautiful home. Kid's bunk beds need to go upstairs and become twins and the guest room downstairs. I think the kitchen can have more cabinets. I push the island a little bit further and give the kitchen a little more. That is so pretty on the outside and the inside.

Not a bad plan at all, and the few things that are not quite right are easy to fix. First is that kitchen. Eliminate the breakfast bar. It is not needed with the dining room so close and open. Take the cabinets right to the divide between kitchen and dining room, then have a peninsula come out towards the window, creating a U shaped cooking area. Keep the refrigerator where it is. Range opposite the windows. Sink in the peninsula. Nice work triangle, very compact, but with a decent amount of work top between each pair of points. Upper cabinets on both the refrigerator and range walls. The upstairs bedroom needs an en suite bathroom. The landing where the sofa is could easily accomodate a toilet, shower, and sink. The other thought I had was to move the master bedroom upstairs over the living room and existing master bedroom. The footprint of the house would stay the same. That way the existing master bedroom becomes part of the living room. The existing master bath would become the front door vestibule. The family bath would become a Jack and Jill, with direct access from the downstairs bedroom and from the front hall, so the bathroom is not opening directly off the dining room. This would simplify the roof, and eliminate the flat roof that is so prone to failure. In the end, the upcharge would likely be minimal for a very large return on the investment. Without changing the footprint or number of rooms in the house it would live very much larger and be much more comfortable.

Would add a balcony on 2nd floor living space area. Would lessen dining for a bigger kitchen where all the work is done. Would add a genkan too for sanitary purposes. Love the base idea though

Eliminate breakfast bar. Add cabinets. No 1/2 bath upstairs very impractical. Good storage space or clothes in 2 rooms little to none in small room. No storage for toiletries and bathroom linen. Let’s face it great to look at but not at all practical on a day to day basis. I did love the light and air fulled space. Do the designers ever Larry living in these spaces or seriously consider the comments?

I have just regconize that I like the large bed . As I fell off the bed, my forehead bleed out . As I had scary nightmare, I slip my body out off the bed without any control .
