Nice looking exterior, but at 1, 056 square feet, presumably that is the ground floor footprint, this is not a small house. Add in the first floor and the total is nearing 2, 000 square feet! That is a pretty large house, so I am expecting something very livable and practical.
I was very disappointed and underwhelmed. Not a well thought out home in the least. First, there is no obvious entrance, no sense of welcome or arrival. Nowhere to put outer wear or outdoor footwear. The dining room windows are more suited to a door to the garden. The double height dining room is simply a waste of space. There is footprint enough to make this a VERY comfortable home indeed. Start with the two ground floor bedrooms and bath. Move them upstairs. Enlarge the living room into the space of the one bedroom. Lovely, large, and light space. Keep the dining room as is. Move the front door into what is now the laundry room. Put a toilet and sink into part of the space of the downstairs bath and there is room for a utility room as well. Enlarge the kitchen to occupy the space of the second downstairs bedroom. Plenty of space for a really GOOD kitchen with eating and probably a small sitting area. Get rid of the waste of space breakfast bar. Upstairs, put a floor over the dining room. Space for a family bathroom too. Build a second floor over the living room for the master and en suite. The footprint remains exactly the same but the extra square footage of floor space makes the house feel three times the size it really is.
