I own a book called Mysteries of the Unexplained, and there is a whole chapter dedicated to anomalous artifacts, objects found in coal, including animals. It provides all of its sources for the information as well. Some amazing stories in it. Awesome book! For anyone interested in stuff like this, I definitely recommend it.

I believe there was a huge civilization when the continents were closer together. Not quite Pangea but soon after. Still cultural differences but similar technological techniques.

Reminds me of the book "Mysteries of Time and Space" by Brad Stieger... I read that book numerous times. He details a lot of other stuff too, like the underground wall discovered in a coal mine blasted out of the rock in IIRC Coalgate, Oklahoma. The wall was embedded inside the solid coal seam and was revealed when the coal was blasted loose to be mined out the next day. When they went into the mine room after blasting, they found that the wall stuck out from an angle of the new face of the wall, where the coal had been blasted out. Part of the coal along the face of the wall had collapsed and crumbled off it, and the wall was made from mirror-polished blocks of material, angling back until it disappeared behind the face of the unbroken coal seam it was embedded within. Some of the wall was partially destroyed, from the blasting operation, and some of the blocks were scattered about and broken. On the outside they were polished like mirrors, but the insides appeared to be basically typical concrete-- sand and aggregate and cement. The honcho notified the mine owners/manager and the next day that entire section of the mine was closed and never reopened. Later! OL J R :)

This seems to tell us two possible things...1...humans were around much longer than we are told...or It doesnt take as long for things to form as science says. Does it take a million years for things to form? or does the earth change much faster.

What if there is an overlooked error in the dating and events happened on the earth that made the interior of the earth become the exterior making the exterior become the interior? The mud floods, the slurry of a great flood made a type of mud that when it hardens becomes stone.... then the sedimentary layers would have happened in a shorter time span... there are many things I question on the dating techniques and how the sedimentary layers were formed....
