Rutting Fallow Deer, Cannock Chase

preview_player
Показать описание
A fallow deer stag during the rutting season. Cannock Chase, Staffordshire. Filmed with a Pentax Q using an old SMC f1:3.5 135mm manual focus lens and a cheap PK-Q adaptor bought on eBay. The 5.5x crop factor gives a 742.5mm equivalent focal length. Makes a mental note: need to take the tripod next time.

They're so beautiful and so is the Chase!

Excellent Q test of tele capability with a 35mm lens. I also have them and love them.

Thanks waxwaine. I've updated the firmware to v1.10 since I shot this -- the SR and focus peaking should make for a huge improvement in quality *...he said, hopefully* :)

Hi sheldon1983. This was near Stafford Brook Road/Kingsley Wood Road by Silver Trees SSSI

Hi, nice video. Where on the chase was this filmed? I have been over lately with my camera, I managed to spot a few around the Brocton area, it took a lot of sneaking about early in the morning! I'm yet to find them rutting though.
