I never feel guilty about splurging on Ferragamo. I love that that the brand has stayed true to itself. Every season there are a few dark horse pairs of shoes that take my breath away. The bags are quality classics that don't go out of style. I would be very satisfied if those same words would be applied to me one day. 😜

A few years ago, I found a pair of classic Ferragamo loafers in pristine condition in a thrift store for $10 🤯🥳 They fit like a glove, and I've had people stop me to compliment them. My favorite was when the manager at Tiffany's saw me walking in, and even though I was being helped by someone else, he walked across the store to me and asked "Are those Ferragamos?" 😂😂

My first Ferragamo purchase was a scarf I discovered at an airport in Rome, Italy more than a decade ago. Still love it! Thanks for the abbreviated history lesson. THANK YOU for highlighting this designer!! I started buying in the mid-80s and sadly my favorite black mules finally split on the side by the sole….not sure they can be repaired - have had them for at least 32 years and have worn them TO DEATH!

My classic black purse hasn’t seen daylight in quite some time because I cheated on Salvator and fell in love with another purse design - sorry! However, I still really like his shoes - lots of them are very practical, especially the loafers and spectators…..but because they are made in Italy, they can run a little narrow, so if you buy them, don’t be surprised if you have to go up a size (or two).

They ARE worth the money, especially if you stick to the classics!
