You need speed when going up and down to get a cross hatch pattern so the rings seal.

Need to move up n down faster. You are shooting for at least a 30 degree hatch mark.

Honing a cilinder jacket with no oil to lubricate is a huge mistake. The engine is partialy assembled, how to get rid of the burs and metal scraps after the honing precedure?
