Genetic Testing and Huntington's Disease

It can be hard to choose whether to have a predictive test or not. Some people decide to undergo testing, others choose not to.

At the European Huntington Association conference in 2019, we held a session on Predictive Testing - Why Test and Why Not? Two of the speakers were Alicie Riviéres and Matt Ellison. Both of them have undergone predictive testing for Huntington disease, and both of them are gene carriers.

Following the session, we spoke with Mara Andrade which is currently at risk of inheriting Huntington’s disease and have not yet decided whether to test or not.
