This a comparison between the Klone Zombie (left) and the Klon KTR (right). The Klone Zombie is a copy of a Klon and it does a decent job of copying the tone. Let me know what you think of each by leaving comments below. Both are nice Overdrive pedals and used by many players including myself.

Hi Shane, I've had the clone / found it very sensitive to different power supplies. Once I had a good regulated supply it was much better. Give that a try.. I have the ktr and it's better than all the copies I've tried. Clones are a great place to start until you find an original at the right price. A friend of mine was on a wait list and just received one from his new batch of KTR's. Keep up the excellent demos - thanks!

That's a tough one.  The Zombie isn't really much of a copy.  The Zombie is less transparent, but that makes fuller, chunkier power chords at high gain.  So it depends what you want a pedal to do.  Ibanez Tube Screamers are good for blues soloing, but not chunky power chords because they are more transparent.  I guess as a do-all pedal the Zombie would be a little better?

The original had a clarity that made it much nicer. Not just the white noise but a nice clarity in the notes themselves.

Interesting comparison. I have tried both, kept the 'red one'.   I had problem with 'Z' buffer + noise. It really depends on your rig i guess (?). Klonwise I have also an Arc Effects Klone V2 and its amazing!! You should compare this one too. Nice playing btw. Cheers

They both sound good, but that white noise when you cranked the gain on the klone zombie killed it for me. I could hear it the whole time, but you could hear it even when playing with the gain up.

I personally like the Red Klon KTR myself :-)  it has a bit more crispness to it (Detail) :-)  Great Demo.

Sounding really similar, the Klon has less noise but the klone seems to have a little more gain and is a bit rattier like and old amp.

I like both of them they sound really similar but the original may sound slightly better but not enough to care about if you cant afford it. The knock off is a little tiny bit muddy compared to the original but most people will not hear it. If the knock was all I could afford it would be just fine. If you got the big bucks go for the original.

There both buffered out puts you can't do that. And you wonder why it's hissing

There both rip offs. The ktr is not a real Klon in my humble opinion
