Sharing some of the struggles I've been experiencing over the past year❤️

I'm mostly good now, and some days are easier than others. We're both so grateful you guys are here with us, and we wouldn't change anything that has happened for the world❤️ We love you all!

We’re Oskar🧔🏻 and Dan👱🏻‍♂️, and we believe that anyone regardless of who they are deserves to live their dreams! For the past nine years, we’ve continued pushing boundaries by traveling and living all across the world, from Japan and Australia to Mexico and Saudi Arabia. In 2022, we reached a huge milestone by visiting 100 countries and we’re now on a mission to keep sharing our journey and hopefully make the world a little more open, compassionate, and peaceful along the way❤️

Thank you guys so much for being here❤ I went back and forth about posting this video a million times because I feared no one would understand what I'm feeling. However, I'm glad it's up, and I hope this video helps anyone who is/has been experiencing something similar❤ I'm much better now, but it's a process that will take time. We hope you guys are enjoying 2024 so far and we can't wait to share more of this new phase of our lives this year❤

Life goes by so fast and you don’t even notice until it’s over. Enjoy every moment.

Hi Oskar! You and Dan have gained so much experience through your travels together. You can leverage that experience to create new content.

For example:

5 minute micro learning videos on the top 5 favorite experiences in each country. You make one for each country you want to talk about and that right there are 20-30 videos of content.

Another suggestion is to have someone interview you and Dan about each country you visited. It could be a series of videos on "reflections from our 100 country travels"

There is so much value you've already created. Leverage it to build someone new, like connection videos.

I'm sending you both a big virtual hug. Thanks for teaching me so much about the world ❤

I always come back to watching you guys because you are genuine, kind humans. Thank you for your honesty! For what it's worth, I'm a nurse and while in nursing school (and in practice) we focus a lot on the the psychosocial stages of life and development put forward by Erik Erikson. For example, I'm married with two kids so I'm in "Middle Age" where the "task" is Generativity vs Stagnation. The virtue is "care" and the main focus is contributing to society and being part of a family. So, this means raising kids who hopefully go on to be good humans and care for the next generation of life and planet! You are in Early Adulthood which ranges from about 19-29. The "task" is Intimacy vs Isolation, the virtue is love. The goal is establishing intimacy and relationships with others. I have a 16 year old son so according to Erikson he is in the "identity vs confusion" stage (adolescence). Sometimes my husband worries about things regarding our kids but I'm always able to keep perspective because of studying Erikson's stages and it grounds me. I'm like, no - they're right where they're supposed to be and this is completely normal development! There's a lot more to Erikson than I'm hitting on here. It's worth a deep dive if you're interested (he was a contemporary of Freud but more commonly embraced today). I say all this because you are in a transition and maybe you are starting to think about the next stage of life a little.

Wow! What a wonderfully honest, authentic and worthwhile video! I saw the thumbnail a day or so ago, and was worried, but thenI incorrectly assumed that the title was clickbait, and you were going to say that you’d taken a wrong turn while travelling from one location to another. Now that I’ve watched it, I’m very moved by your words. I’m also mightily relieved that you and Dan are still together. Oskar, you are a terrific person, and I’m sure we viewers would be more than happy to watch whatever content you create. I will pray that you (and Dan) discover what your next ‘move’ is. Thank you both for all you’ve given us. You are loved! I’m in my 60’s, and am very grateful for all you both have taught me. Whatever you do in the future, I, and so very many others, will be.cheering you on.

Thank you so much for sharing Oskar and that quote at the end - WOW!

Be kind to yourself and know we love your insight into the world.

PS. Should we be more worried you didn’t mention veganism once 😉

Thank you. You are amazing. We have gratitude for you sharing your lives. We are thankful for the big adventures as well as the small moments. The thrills and the insecurities are both powerful and meaningful. This video may be the most important one that you ever make. I hope millions see it and listen to the message. We need to relish and be thankful for our lives. We are blessed by whatever higher power or energy in which we may find meaning. While there are low moments, of course, there will be another time filled with brightness, joy and incredible energy that follows. Take care of yourself. You are loved and we are grateful to know you.

It’s raw and brutal. Love it, but also ….. there are times where life seems endless and tiring. But by sharing your fears and doubts … I cannot thank you enough!

Thank you so much, Oskar, for sharing your honest feelings in that beautiful video. I have a suggestion for you: why not write a book about your challenge of visiting 100 countries before the age of 25? You have a unique story to tell and writing a book could be a wonderful new purpose for you.

*Oskar, you are not alone either!*
Take the time you need and the love from your support system to find new joy in new directions.
(And, please keep in mind that the record of your past travels is still providing joy to people who find you two on YouTube.)
What you have done is important...what you will do is important!
*May you find the peace you are seeking.*

Appreciate this insight into what the past year has been. Thank you for your openness and honesty. As you know, 2023 has been a pivot year for us too and a big part of that has been figuring out: who are we outside of travel? Like you and Dan, travel became such a huge part of our identities and how we related to each other, that I think along the way we lost a certain kind of connection. It’s hard to explain to those who haven’t experienced it, but I 100% felt everything you shared in this video. Sending love as always! ❤

I really appreciate this video thank you, Five years ago I retired at the age of 51 after a pretty successful career. I’m in a wonderful relationship, I’m financially secure but I totally lack purpose now after a life time of being driven. Meditation, yoga and volunteering have been my life savers. Thank you again for your vulnerable sharing. Holding you in the light x

Thank you for posting this video. I cried a little. I can totally relate to what you're going through. I've had times where I've felt useless and like a failure. I retired five years ago, and I felt like "now what?". I'm also a recent widow. After 30 years of marriage, my husband passed away. It was hell on earth for the first year. It's only recently that I feel like I can see some light again. I'm also introverted, and not at all a procrastinator, so I can relate to that. I've found purpose in a new part time job and new side hustle. What you said about gratitude is so true! I'm so grateful and thankful for everything I have. I know I have more than many people do. I try to keep a perspective, and some balance. Love your and Dan's videos.

Oskar, thank you so much for posting this. I can't say how much I appreciate and resonate with what you had to say. I'm sure it was very difficult for you to be this vulnerable, but know that it's much appreciated and you are helping so many other people through sharing your honest experience. Much love.
