Eyes on inter-Korea relations & U.S.- N. Korea relations as Olympics nears end

And to tell us more about what issues still need to be discussed... in regards to inter-Korean relations as well as,.... U.S.-North Korea relations... Dr. Woo Jung-yeop, a research fellow at the Sejong Institute,... joins us in the studio today.

1- So a top North Korean sports official said..... it is possible for the two Koreas to co-host the Asian Winter Games in 2021.
What are the chances of us seeing this actually happening,... and what would it mean for future inter-Korean relations?

2- And with the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics coming to an end,... U.S. President Donald Trump's daughter Ivanka Trump is scheduled to visit South Korea on Friday.
How is she likely to be received here?

3- What significance does Ivanka's visit carry..... as South Korea and the U.S. plan to step up bilateral cooperation?

4- So, who will she be meeting while she's here..... and what kind of issues are likely to be discussed with whomever she gets to meet?
Also what kind of message is she likely to deliver from President Trump?

5- What are the chances of us possibly seeing Ivanka meet with a high-level North Korean official,... or of any form of dialogue between the U.S. and North Korea?

6- Meanwhile, the U.S. has been pressuring South Korea over trade recently,... slapping high tariffs on steel imports from a dozen countries... including South Korea.
And in response to this,... President Moon has ordered the government to deal with such "unfair protectionist trade measures" in a "confident and resolute" manner,... raising the possibility of a trade war between the two allies.
And although the South Korean government has said that issues regarding trade and diplomacy are separate,... could they *really be separate issues

7- And the South Korean government is expected to send a high-level official to the U.S. soon to discuss North Korea's nuclear program as well as U.S.-North Korea relations after the Olympics.
What can we expect on this front?

8- South Korea and the U.S. are also expected to announce plans on the postponed joint military drills before April.
How will this affect a potential inter-Korean summit?

9- What about the military talks between the two Koreas?
The two sides had agreed to hold military talks after a formal dialogue on January 9th.
