MAY ROUNDUP OF #STYLOPHONESOUNDS -
1) @tadeomarentes
"Making this video was quite fun, because I had to find a song that was unique and 'Jerk It Out' was ideal for the stylophone to shine. I recorded this cover in a very analog way by miking the amplifier. Editing the audio I put reverb and delay on the stylophone. I’m in love with the colour of this Stylophone!"
2) @tiny_silver_hammers
“I started the Street Beat series because I love to travel to different parts of my city and state where people come together. Sonically I try to interact and capture a taste of the environment also work on my improvisation skills. It’s a good way to try to really feel the energy all around us!
Lately I’ve been doing them in other states when I travel as well. Stylophone devices are perfect for that!”
3) @synthsyouvebeengone
“My creative process for this video was somewhat simple, I was experimenting with the MXR cloned looper. I recorded in a few notes with my Moog grandmother and some white noise for ambiance, slowed it down and reversed it. Then I played a lead part with the Stylophone Gen X-1, pulling back the attack on the envelope for a slow rise of the filter, delay time, feedback and level all around 12 O'Clock and adding the pulse width modulation.”
4) @denis_violet
“The Stylophones are instruments with immense possibilities despite their apparent simplicity, I love them to the point of having recorded an album only with these synths. Here I mixed a track using the LFOs and the delay, which are very musical, to another lead, with this typical slipped sound”.
5) @ainsworththemusician
“Here are some drums and bass from the Stylophone Beat and a few different layers of synth and percussion from my DAW.”
