I greatly appreciate the explaining of how to make an envelope of a desired size. Most origami envelope tutorials simply tell you how to fold and the result is just whatever size your paper folds up to be. Thank you for the added information!

I didn't pay attention to the dimensions at all and it worked! Perfect tiny envelope from one ripped-out page of an old Farmer's Almanac! Thank you!!

Thanks so much for this. I have started sending letters again so I just wrote the entire thing on the inside of the envelope paper and sent it that way. I even used some of the folds as area dividers per say and put different things in different sections (letter, recipe, Easter wishes, etc) and sealed it all up with some washi tape and plopped it in the mail. My recipient LOVED it! Thanks for the post!

Oh my god, thanks so much happypuppytruffles! You have a new subscriber; I got a polaroid instant camera for christmas and my friend only gave me four frames so I needed an album but the shops don't have any. And other videos don't make sense to me. So thanks so much! I was able to make an envelope to keep my photos safe.

The closest I ever came to doing origami was making my own envelopes. I made them as a cure for my own boredom as a High School kid. I used ordinary 8x11 printing paper along with scissors, and scotch tape. If I did it your way, I would need to convert centimeters to inches. 🙂

That video was great!  You didn't leave anything out, and you made the formula very clear.  This was awesome.  Thanks for making it!

I was looking to buy envelopes without the sticker seal (because I use a wax seal), but this is so much more perfect because now I can select the paper I want and make the envelopes myself.

I used 9x12 inch paper and the final product perfectly fit a check. Just what I needed it for, for dropping off rent. Woo!

Thank you I just made one for our local Chinese resturant, it's their New Year and I wrote Happy New Year in gold on the red envelope and put the tip money in it. That worked out great so again thank you for sharing that neet idea.

Thank you so much for this video! Every video I saw used A4 paper and my card doesn't fit that size so this really helped. I'm sure my mom will be happy with the card and envelope :)
