Awesome! Can't wait to see your full side-by-side comparison with the Rodecaster Pro II. My question at this point, because I'm undecided betwixt the two devices (Rodecaster Pro II & the Rodecaster Duo), is are the internals the exact same? Is the ONLY difference between the two just the two less XLR Mic Inputs and the two less Headphone Outputs on the Duo. Thanks for the first unboxing video.

This unit have 48 (8*6) smart pads storage instead of the 64 the Reodecaster Pro II have, it's a bit of a shame, since it probably have the same amount of internal memory, I guess it's just the OS in the Rodecaster that only allow 8 banks, no matter how many Smart Pads you have, same with he Rode Streamer X, it have only 4 butons per page, (8 pages), so you can only store 32 (sounds/FX/mixe/MIDI) in total. Sitll because the size, I think that the Rodecaser Duo it's a great product, I don't need 4 mic inputs and the 4 hardware faders would be enough most of the times. I just replaced my Rodecaster Pro II with the DUO, and I'm very happy so far.

Here in the states it is going for $499 USD and I will be receiving mine tomorrow, . I am disappointed that it only has the VESA mount option on the back of the device. The Rodecaster PRO II has the option to mount it to a MIC boom arm like the PSA1 or VESA. Yes the footprint is smaller with the DUO so it would not take up too much room on my desk but having it mounted to a boom arm would of been really nice.

wow too many comments saying this is so similar to Rodecaster Pro 2. I have no idea about the Pro 2 and don't really want to watch about it because I won't be buying it. I am interested in this one. Geesh all the reviewers I watched kept mentioning the Pro 2.

I had the Rodecaster Pro, then upgraded to the Pro II. I absolutely love both products and I love the idea of the Duo but I think it's just a touch over priced. It's nothing I need personally, but I feel like sales would go through the roof if they knocked off $100 or even $50

Can’t find it in UK for £499, everyone advertising it for £569 😮

Only other difference not mentioned in the video is the fact that the minijack headphone port is back at the front which is good news, but I think it's over-priced at £549 in the UK and still prefer the original RCP without virtual faders which is more geared towards broadcasters. Also cutting back on the buttons (48) is a negative. Buttons could have been made slightly smaller and kept the 8 on there in my opinion.

You state "On the bottom - Not Alot!" but there is actually - VESA Mount! Can you please measure them and state if they are 100mm, 200mm, etc? I ask because there is no mention of this VERY important feature on Rode's wensite or even on the box specs (which you kindly highlighted). My Rodecaster Proi 2 also has a microphone mount, but it is too large to be functional on a mucrophone stand. Funny thing is the DUO us much smaller and lacks a microphone mount. Wonder who in engineering is calling the shots? Probably the same person that removed the TRRS connector on the Pro-2 and brought it back on the DUO.

It s an unboxing video but the box is out of screen😅
