You can import data files from anywhere on your hard drive. Either navigate to the folder with the current directory browser or specify the full path when using a file I/O function.

manojinside: i tried to import the excel file, the excel file contains float data of 3 columns and 100 rows. matlab says warning as File Contains uninterpretable data and the no data is loaded in the variable. what may be the wrong?

I want to a pushbutton which will allow to download out[put(.txt) file using matlab gui.
Output file is alrady there in folder of code. But how to download and save it to desktop using button of matlab GUI
