The way they perfectly compliment each other... And it changes the whole way you perceive the lyrics. In the original of Mad Hatter it's more of a fun and dark song about being crazy.. Now it seems like so much more. A sad song. About going crazy and accepting it...

This is such an incredibly beautiful, and bittersweet mashup. It really paints the lyrics to Mad Hatter in a different light. It almost sounds like something someone would sing to try and comfort themselves, as their mind slowly melted away

this remix makes me think of a girl Going insane and her family want to make her better but she ends up having to be sent to a mental hospital and the family get really sad because they love their daughter

When you just listen to Mad Hatter, Melanie is crazy and proud.
When you listen to LTWYL, Marshall is essentially in a toxic, on-again off-again relationship with a girl, but they still love eachother.

When you listen to this, Melanie is realizing she's crazy, and that's what drove her friends away. In the second verse, when she says "Doctor, Doctor, please listen / My brain is scattered" she so desperately wants her medications to 'calm her down' and get her friends back.
Did that make any sense at all? It sounded better in my head. 😂
